Murky collects absolutely zero data. Not a little, not "anonymized," none at all.
That's possible because Murky works completely on your own device. Your browsing history, passwords, bookmarks and settings live on your computer and nowhere else. Nothing is sent to us, so there's nothing for us to see, store or sell.
Tracking is blocked by default, so you don't have to dig through settings to get a private experience. Trackers that try to follow you from site to site are stopped before they can build a profile of you.
We don't sell your data either, because we don't have any to sell. That's how it is today, and it's how it will stay.

That's Windows SmartScreen (Microsoft Defender). It shows up because Windows requires expensive licensing, which isn't very friendly for indie developers like us. It's something we hope to fix in Murky's future, hopefully soon. You can still continue by clicking “More info” and then “Run anyway”.
Yes, as long as you grab it from our official site, murkybrowser.xyz. The warning is about the missing paid licensing, not about anything being wrong with the installer.
